I have been the translating assistant for the Internal Revenue Service in the American Consulate in Berlin Zehlendorf since September 2001. I have very good tax, financial and legal translating experience, German into English. I have also interpreted during criminal tax investigation conferences and during a taxpayer questioning involving the Department of Justice. I translate cases the Bundesamt fuer Finanzen sends to our office to be forwarded to the United States to be investigated. These cases fall under the Double Taxation Treaty between the U.S. and Germany.
I have been a student of Goethe Institute since January of last year. I am now studying for Das Kleine Deutsche Sprachdiplom. I have been living in Berlin, Germany since 1992. |
