Source text - English From the quite distant old days beauty care is a part of human being life. Due to the various materials, the technique, and demand of culture, time and space, it is a method of expressing beauty with clothing style. As the hair is a part of the body to remove and attach to be possible as changeable variety, it gives always the interest and a change of the human being and become popular. It comes it leads about times to come. In popularity of the dress, the hair design had a popularity characteristic to balance a silhouette. Like the building where the popularity and fine arts form appears, it comes to be freely built but it is a space where it is restricted.
Translation - Korean 아주 먼 옛날부터 미용(美容)은 인간의 삶 속 깊숙이 자리잡아온 생활이나 마찬가지로 자리매김 되어 존재해 왔었고, 미적(美的)인 욕구를 표현하는 수단으로 사용되어 왔었다. 헤어가 가지는 특성상 신체의 일부이면서도 제거와 붙이기가 가능하면서 변화무쌍한 변화를 가져올 수 있는 유일한 부분이기 때문에 인간의 항상 흥미와 변화를 주고자하는 욕구에 부응하여 발전되고 유행 되어왔다. 또, 한 시대를 주도하기도 하는 복식의 유행에 발맞추어 헤어스타일도 실루엣상의 조화를 이루기 위해 건축이나 미술양식처럼 건축적으로 변화 되어왔다.

Source text - English I recognized that the foundation of the western culture becomes from the Greek and Roman spirit and this tradition is taken over by popular and practical method. With applying this, various shapes were expressed. Therefore, I concluded that Chignon styles of the Grecian and Roman are the styles which are seen by taking over from past to current days. According to up styles of the Greek and re-appearance of hair styles until now, there are 4 types of taking over. However, without difference with people and time frame, economic efficiency and sex, various hair styles coexists. Simultaneously units overflow. There are homesickness against the old thing in this times, beautiful discovery of body, and nature and human being becomes one with the human being body where the elements of the flow in the Greek spirit. Re-appearance of restoration is one of elements and inevitable characteristic of the study regarding the ancient times.
Translation - Korean 서양문화의 근간(根幹)이 되어온 그리스･로마 정신의 흐르는 맥을 현대로 오면서 대중적이고, 실용적인 방법으로 그 전통이 전승(傳承)되어질 수 있음을 알았다. 즉, 이를 응용함으로써 다양한 형태를 표현하고자 했다. 따라서, 그리스･로마식의 쉬뇽은 바로 과거(過去)와 현대(現代)를 이어주는 전승(傳承)을 볼 수 있는 스타일이 될 수 있을 것이라는 결론을 얻었다.
