As a flexible and versatile person with excellent language skills I am a perfect freelance translator. I myself am eager to work in my main field of interest and like the possibility of working from my home office.

I am used to working with computer programs. Today I use Trados or SDLX but I am openminded and not afraid of learning to use other tools and translation memories. I have some knowledge of Photoshop 3.0 and Pagemaker 6.5 as well.




I was born and raised in Switzerland but live in Sweden since 1995 where I also took my master's degree in Linguistics. During my studies I was able to unfold and improve my language skills. Today I speak an write fluently German, Swedish and to a certain degree English. Furthermore I developed a deeper understanding of grammatical problems and of the ways German and Swedish differ in structure, expression, cultural aspects and similar. My grammar, orthography and stile are perfect in both German and Swedish. I also want to point out that I am well aware of and familiar with the differences of written German in Switzerland and Germany and to a certain degree in Austria, which can be of importance in certain translations.

From my studies in Computational Linguistics and my work for IT and Telecom Companies I have good knowledge of the Swedish terminology in these fields. That it is important to update this knowledge as well as learn the terminology of other fields in order to translate goes without saying and is something that stimulates my curiosity.
