Having worked in the Zhejiang Energy Research Institute for eight years, I have participated in a number of domestic and international projects in the field of energy and renewable energy, power generation, energy policy, etc. During my 8 years of work, I have been involved in dealing with translation of large amount of ducuments both from English to Chinese and vise versa. Organization of international workshops is also part of my job and until now, I have interpreted for over 10 workshops and training progams, of which many are energy training and workshops under the EU-China cooperation program.

During 2003-1004, I won financial support from the UK Chevening Program, and went to the UK for 1 year to study at the University of Reading for MSc degree in Renwable Energy and the Environment. This experience gave me the oppotunity to have better understanding of renewable energy technologies as well as to brush up my English. Before and after that, I also got oppotunities to travel to Greece, Egypt, Italy, Korea, the philippines, some for attending workshops, some working as the interpreter.
