Bio
Hi. I'm new to this site, but I've been doing profressional translating for about two years now. Currently, I'm working at a German university, doing genetics research, and translating and proofreading for scientific publications.
I am a native speaker of English with an almost native level of German. I lived in the US for 24 years, and have a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of Minnesota. I moved to Germany in 2006, and now live in Freiburg Germany.
I usually have 3-4 hours per day where I can be doing translations. If the project is urgent, it is also possible to shift my work schedual to do translations for 2-3 days straight.

NOTE:
I prefer NOT to use software such as TRADOS because it is FULL of mistranslations and errors,
http://www.sdl.com/en/services/certification/
as demonstrated by their own website - "do you want to make less mistakes?"
Mistakes has a numerable quantity... so you can't use 'less' to describe it. In this case, they should have said, "do you want to make FEWER mistakes?" -- which is exactly why I don't use their software.
