I have lived in Spain for 16 years and currently live in the province of Alicante. I hold the Diploma in Translation of the Institute of Linguists with Distinction and a Masters degree in Education from the University of Manchester; my undergraduate degree was in English Literature and History, from Trinity College Dublin. I also hold the Diploma Superior en Lengua Espanola, issued by the Cervantes Institute and the Spanish Ministry for Education.
I have worked for notaries and lawyers in Barcelona and for translation agencies in Spain, Malta, the UK, the US, Holland and Germany.
I have translated contracts, deeds, arbitration progress reports, legal correspondence, a study on land registration in the ex-Soviet bloc, bank compliance assurance reports. brochures for hotels and educational publishing companies, theses, dissertations and journal articles in the humanities and social sciences. property valuations, accounting software SAP and AS/400, technical CVs, project management, tenders, leases, share capital calls, minutes, articles of association, NDAs and marketing courses, and arbitration progress reports, to name but a few.

I also have extensive experience as a teacher of English as a Second Language and English for Academic Purposes and as an examiner for several examining boards.
