Translation - English For first time users of Garage Kit models
Thank you sincerely, for buying the Kotobukiya Garage Kit model on this occasion. This kit is different from a plastic model, and in building it, a certain degree of knowledge and tools become an important part.
Thereupon, we have given a small account of what is important in the assembly of this model. Before beginning assembly, please be sure to read fully through the following.
1. Background knowledge before assembly
1. What is the quality of materials like?
This kit uses a plastic material near the plastic called Urethane resin. It has both the stiffness yet easy handling of timber and can be split or polished. Because of a slight aroma, please be cautious of ventilation.
2. How do I adjoin the parts?
Because this item is different from a plastic model, an adhesive meant for a plastic model cannot be used. Please use instant adhesives or Epoxy resin (either can be found at model stores or do-it-yourself-stores). Also, before using an adhesive, please read carefully the instructions to use correctly.
※ With this kit, an instant adhesive should take about 10 minutes.
3. What is needed for tools?
To make a common plastic model, completion can occur in about 10 minutes with using tools (nippers/pincers, needle-nose pliers, designing trimmer, pin vice (a small drill), paper file).
※ For this kit, a size 3 drill bit (0.5 mm, 2mm, or 3mm diameter) is important in using the pin vice drill. Also, for a paper file, number 400 or number 800 is acceptable. (This number describes the file’s surface roughness. A larger number means a finer surface.)
Nippers/pincers: for cutting off excess areas on parts and disconnecting each part from frame.
Design trimmer: for taking off excess areas on and adjusting each part.
Pin vice: for opening holes on the places indicated on the instructional diagram.
Paper file: for polishing and creating a beautiful finish to each part.
Needle-nose pliers: for cutting brass wire and splitting tube springs.
4. What do I do in terms of painting?
If you choose to paint, any paint made for plastic models can be used. However, when thinking of safety and what is easiest to use, water-based products may be best. Applying with a brush or airbrush is best. For the beginning, try to challenge yourself with applying with a brush. Or, when applying with a spray-style product called a surfacer, the paint will stay on stronger and chances of peeling will be less likely.
※ With surfacers, the hold of the of the Urethane resin and paint will be stronger. However, since there is a higher amount of thinner in surfacers, please read and use accordingly.
2. Assembly procedures
1. First, please read the instructional diagram carefully. Please read carefully the instructions before assembly.
2. Please check and confirm with the instructional diagram that all parts are in order.
※ If model comes with insufficient amount of parts, please contact Kotobukiya. Please see
attached postcard to contact.
Japanese to English: The song "涙そうそう[Falling Tears]," by the Japanese music group, BEGIN

ありがとうってつぶやいた
いつもいつも胸の中
励ましてくれる人よ
晴れ渡る日も
雨の日も
浮かぶあの笑顔
思い出遠くあせても
おもかげ探して
よみがえる日は
涙そうそう
Translation - English Paging through my old photo album
I muttered out “thank you”
You are always – always – in my heart
You, the one who encouraged me
On clear days
As well as rainy days
Your smiling face
Although my memories fade far and fast
I search for a recollection of your face
And on the days that they come to me
Tears fall
Praying to the first star of the evening
Has become a habit of mine
And in evening sky in which I look up to
I search for your kind heart
Through sadness
And through rapture
I imagine your smiling face
If you can still see me
From where you are
Then I’ll surely go on living
Believing
That we will be able to meet again
On clear days
As well as rainy days
Your smiling face
As my memories fade far and fast
I am lonely
And I miss you
A thought of you
And tears drop
I want to see you
I want to see you
Thoughts of you
And tears fall
