Bio
I have a master's degree in English and international studies from Aalborg University in Denmark. I have worked as an English professor for 12 years before I gained my Master of European Journalism at Cardiff University five years ago. Since then I have worked as a freelance translator and journalist. Currently residing in Accra, Ghana.
My first thesis dealt with machine translation within the EU: EUROTRA
My second thesis dealt with Zimbabwe's relationto the EU and the Cotonou Agreement
I am very well travelled and therefore posess a profound knowledge of culture, inter cultural communication and south African and west African culture.
I have translated, proof read and edited text within several areas:
-User manuals for cranes, trucks, palletising systems, humidification systems, window framing, Ipods, sun tanning lotion - just to name a few.
-Newsletters for kitchen companies, jewellery makers, grafic production firms, textile companies, real estate agents etc.
-psychology reports, exam diplomas, legal contracts, PR and sales material for washers for baking equipment and much more.
