My primary areas of specialisms (English/ German and Spanish into POLISH): legal, technical, Life sciences &
healthcare, business & finance, retail.
Secondary area: EU cultural projects
In the legal field I have translated the following types of documents in criminal law, family
law, employment tribunals: court orders, government documents, witness statements, police
forms & letters; clients: solicitors, courts, government agencies.
In terms of Life Sciences, & healthcare translation I have got experience in the following
fields: Biotechnology & pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical devices, examples of texts:
patient hospital forms/reports, medical report, summary of product characteristics, package
inserts & information leaflets, drug packaging and labelling, storage instructions, user
manuals, instructions for use, pharmacology; clients: governments, private companies( e.g.
for reports on clinical trials), hospitals.
In the technical field, the documents such as instruction manuals, health & safety
booklets/documents, user manuals, technical user guides, product specifications, technical
descriptions, lists of spare parts, and many other specific documents; clients: private
companies (a lot in construction & engineering sector).
EU cultural projects and education types of document translation are very familiar to me as I
have been working as a teacher as well. I have worked on translating a variety of EU projects
European schools and universities participated. Also, I have translated a variety of learning
resources for schools in a variety of subject areas in education.
Further, I translate for private companies in retail sector a lot as well, sections: food, fashion.
I translate annual reports for private business companies.
I interpret only in the language combinations: EN-PL and PL-EN for courts of law, solicitors
and police.
I have been working (past few years) on a freelance basis as a court interpreter for the
Ministry of Justice (civil law, criminal law - magistrate and crown courts), family law
(county courts) and employment law (tribunals) across the law courts in England, e.
g Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Suffolk, Oxfordshire, Northampton, etc.
Also, assignments at the police stations, probation service in courts and prisons, CAFCASS,
