Marco completed his Bachelor in Nutrition and Dietetics and his MPH at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, COLOMBIA. He holds a Master of Science in Training and Development, from University of St. Francis, Illinois.

Marco has over twenty years of experience in applying solutions to community needs and much of his career has been spent teaching but he also works in project management and program development.

Marco was the Coordinator for Chronic Disease Prevention, and the Chairperson for the Nutrition and Fitness Taskforce of Broward County Health Department, in Florida.

For the last 10 years, he has been working as health educator for the prevention of chronic disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, weight management, and promoting exercise, healthy eating, healthy lifestyles, and healthy environments.

Marco includes Motivational Interviewing to increase treatment engagement and adherence in inpatient settings, outpatient settings and medication adherence.
