I hold an Italian BA cum Laude and MA cum Laude degree in Translation and Interpreting and Conference Interpreting respectively, and I am also Member and Chartered Linguist of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIOL) in the UK. In September 2019 I obtained the CIOL Qualifications Level 6 Diploma in Police Interpreting (DPI) with 2x Distinction and 3x Merit, allowing me to receive the NRPSI Award for Best Candidate in the same year. I am a Registrant of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters in the UK under Full status since March 2022. I also hold the DPSI (English Law) qualification, obtained in February 2021 with 3x Distinction.
Actively working since 2005, I have collected fruitful experience in Italy and abroad various fields, mainly in the automotive, mechanical and electrical engineering, marketing and legal field. Texts I translate include (but are not limited to) manuals (for both end users and experts), On Board Diagnostics books, repair manuals, machinery and equipment operation manuals, after-sales documentation, technicians’ training guidelines as well as Material Safety Data Sheets. In the marketing field, I mainly translate and proofread in-company communication documents and internal marketing magazines, letters and newsletter to clients, hotel presentations and descriptions, Web sites, fashion catalogues as well as terms and conditions of participation to competitions designed for company clients. Among my duties as a translator and proofreader, I also carry out Linguistic Sign Off tasks, both on- and offline (by making use of .pdf, .html and .mp3 files or videos) ensuring the best quality and consistency throughout the translated text.
As a conference and public service interpreter in the UK, I have collected experience in various fields, ranging from international sports events (the FIVB Men's Volleyball Championship in 2010 and the Olympic Games in London in 2012), EWCs, business to business events, high level international meetings, meetings with engineers, educational trips, science conferences, visits to museum and galleries, and Courts (Family, Crown, Magistrates' and County courts) in the UK.
