Profile Having run my own business in Japan for 10 years, I have much personal experience of business in Japan. I spent a total of 14 years of living in Japan, including 7 years in rural Kagoshima, these experiences have given me an insight into the culture and language not available to most.

Current project Nejimen Saigo saa (Nejime no Saigo san) A play about Saigo Takamori written in Kagoshima dialect. In collaboration with the author and a British playwright I am adapting this play for the British stage.
I can work at around 4-5,000 Japanese characters per day.
In 2004 completed an MA in Applied Translation Studies; theoretical and practical training including use of CAT tools (Trados, Star etc)
