Hello, my name is Gabriel Moreno. I grew up in one of the "火炉" (furnaces) of the U.S.--Phoenix, Arizona. I have been studying Chinese Mandarin for around 10 years now. The study of the Chinese language and culture has been very rewarding personally. My training includes numerous formal courses, in-country immersions, and easily several hundred hours of self-study (reading and listening). China is an amazing country. My wife and I have met a lot of great people during our travels around China and while living in Dalian, China for a semester of study at Dalian University of Technology, and we are anxiously looking forward to our next visit.

In addition to Chinese, I also love science. I've recently completed a Bachelor's of Science in microbiology. I hope to someday merge these two passions into a single career.
