This is update post number eight on some of the progress being made in the changes to the ProZ.com job posting system. Previous updates are listed under the "Updates" section at http://www.proz.com/about/ipetition/changes

What's new this week:

• Indicators were included in the job posting form to encourage more complete information in the job details area, in the interest of improving translators' ability to evaluate a job before responding/quoting.


• A directory search option was introduced to the job posting area.


• The FAQs at http://www.proz.com/about/ipetition/faq were added to the site job FAQs. The job FAQs are currently being revised and further updated based on the recent changes.


• More peripherally, but of interest to those willing to collaborate on the issue of rates, a system for commenting similar to the forums was added to both ProZ.com Wiki articles and the Rates calculator. (The Rates calculator can be found under the "Tools" tab.)

Details on the changes to the job posting system, staff reaction, and member involvement and input can all be seen on the changes to be made to the ProZ.com job posting system pages.
