Cam Chancellor could be a proper early-game safety
The Deluxe Edition Cam Chancellor card is the bit people are talking about most. It's expected to start at 80 overall, then climb to 85 through a Season 1 upgrade path, much like the Jalen Hurts reward from last year. EA hasn't fully explained the requirements yet, so don't assume it'll be a free ride. Still, Chancellor at 6'3" and around 225 pounds has the kind of frame that plays well near the line. If his speed, hit power, and zone coverage land in a decent range, he won't just be a collector's item.
That matters more than people think. Early safeties often miss tackles, get mossed in traffic, or feel slow turning around.
Rookie Premiere is still worth the time
Rookie Premiere is basically the last big Madden 26 job before the new game takes over. The Field Pass gives players Madden 27 launch packs with 70-plus overall cards, which won't build a monster squad on their own. But they do fill holes. A usable guard, corner, or backup receiver on day one saves coins for a position that really needs help. You can earn up to four Rookie Premiere players through tokens, Red Zone Royale exchanges, and related sets. Your exact choices aren't locked into your launch rewards, either. EA plans to offer fantasy selections when Madden 27 arrives.
Before sinking cards into exchanges, it helps to compare what each route actually gives you. The names may change, but the basic value call is pretty clear.

Don't buy a card just because it looks cheap, though. Check the exchange result first, then compare the full cost of the set against the price of simply buying what you need. A lot of players lose value by chasing the shiny name rather than the usable outcome. If a set gives an extra Premiere option and the ingredients are low, great. If not, hold your cards and wait. Launch week always brings another wave of panic selling.
