Bio
Translator based in Switzerland. Twenty-one years in the profession, fifteen of them freelance.

Into English, in UK and US variants, and German, in both German and Swiss standard forms.

From German, English, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Czech, Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian.

Main areas: legal and financial (contracts, pleadings, litigation and investigation documents, regulatory filings, reporting), technical documentation, marketing, medical and pharmaceutical, and editorial work for Swiss media.

Before going freelance I worked agency-side as a quality manager in London, then as a staff translator at an immigration law firm and at language service providers in London and Zurich. In 2012-13 I translated legal and financial correspondence for a Swiss private bank during a cross-border tax investigation, working alongside US counsel.
