Bio

I am an ATA-certified English–Spanish translator (ATA #541902) and a court-authorized sworn translator (perita traductora) in Mexico, appointed by the Federal Judiciary Council. Both credentials are independently verifiable.

I hold a degree in Economics and spent ten years in commercial banking — economic analysis, foreign exchange, money markets, and private banking. That background means I read a document's financial and legal logic, not just its language: capital structures, defined terms, corporate governance, regulatory frameworks, and the differences between common-law and civil-law concepts.

I work in three areas, to one standard:

Legal & financial — contracts, corporate governance, due diligence, compliance documentation, investor and financial reports, trusts, and instruments reviewed by boards and regulators. Translated for execution: defined terms intact, terminology consistent, ready to file or sign.

Regulated & institutional — healthcare, insurance, and benefits documentation, regulated forms, consent forms, IEPs, and veterans' forms. Where plain language and legal precision protect both the institution and the people it serves: precise enough to withstand regulatory scrutiny, clear enough for the end reader.

High-stakes localization — financial, institutional, and educational content for Spanish-speaking audiences across Latin America. Terminology accurate, register appropriate, culturally fluent, ready to publish.
Since 2011, I have worked with law firms, financial institutions, healthcare and insurance providers, institutional clients, and the language service providers that support them — often as the named expert they rely on when an error would be expensive.

Outside of this work, I translate children's literature — a field that lets me combine linguistic precision with creativity.

If you need a translator for high-consequence legal, financial, or regulated documentation involving U.S.–Latin America cross-border matters, I'd be glad to collaborate.

Relied upon when the stakes are high.
