I am a qualified full-time Translator between German and English and a German native speaker with English on a native speaker level (C2), having spent two years of residency in the United Kingdom for an M.A. in Interpreting and Translation and two employments in the same field.
In terms of professional experience, I worked two years as in-house Translator in Germany and the United Kingdom. Employers included the marketing company ParkCloud Ltd., the language service provider Language Insight Ltd. and the Munich-based law firm BOEHMERT & BOEHMERT.
In positions at these companies, my tasks included the translation of Marketing content like web pages and blogs, newsletters, brochures, ads as well as presentation material for company events and corporate partners. In addition, I translated promotional and descriptive content in the field of Travel & Tourism for 40-50 airports and car park providers near airports, harbours and train stations. I also collected some experience in Medical Translation in areas like pharmaceuticals, oncology, diabetes, hearing disorders and cardiology.
In terms of training, I acquired specialized translation degrees in Engineering and Economics and was able to collect knowledge in a variety of areas, including Education, Trade, Business, Politics, Environment and also Informatics and Technology, having founded an IT company in 2016 and being highly skilled in this field.
During my eight-year-long translation training between German and English, I acquired the State-Certification and a B.A. degree in Germany as well as an M.A. degree from the University of Central Lancashire, United Kingdom. In these courses, I was trained in General and Technical Translation, Sight Translation and Localization in a variety of working fields.
