|Description||The National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Ltd (trading as NAATI) is the national standards and accreditation body for translators and interpreters in Australia. It is the only agency that issues accreditations for practitioners who wish to work in this profession in Australia. The National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters Ltd (trading as NAATI) is incorporated in Australia under the Corporations Act 2001. The company is owned jointly by the Commonwealth, State and Territory governments and is governed by a board of directors, who are appointed by the owners.|

Prior to obtaining accreditation through a NAATI-approved course of studies or a NAATI test candidates may attend workshops for both Translation and Interpreting.
The NAATI offices in the states and territories run a variety of workshops designed to help candidates successfully obtain NAATI accreditation. Workshops cover topics such as:
* insights into interpreting,
* ethics and professional conduct,
* note taking,
* basic interpreting and translation techniques, and
* test preparation.
