If it were just climatic conditions, that would sound better. But when it is two types of conditions, those of altitude and those of climate, it is better to keep the structures parallel.

Explanation:
If it were me I would just say "Due to its altitude and climate, the city..." to avoid the awkward adjective-noun structure that shows up in the more literal translation. It would be assumed that altitude and climate are natural conditions.

I don´t see how "altitude" can´t be other thing than "natural".
I´ve never heard of "artificial" altitude or anything alike, so
I think the translation should be just "altitude".
