English translation: The authors and editors wanted to make this a non-profit publication

Italian term or phrase: hanno voluto questa pubblicazione senza fini di lucro
"Gli editori e gli autori hanno voluto questa pubblicazione senza fini di lucro"

Would it be sufficient to say "This is a non-profit publication"?
Or would I have to include the editors and authors and, if so, how?

Thanks!

they wanted this to be a not-for-profit publication

Explanation:
The authors and PUBLISHERS wanted this to be a not-for-profit...

editore/editor are false friends.
Nonprofit could be used in place of not for profit

agree  Melissa Stanfield: It might also be the case that "writers" fits here instead of "authors" - depending on the type of publication (literary/non-literary etc.)

Asker: But doesn't "wanted to make this" or "wanted this to be" sound a bit stilted? That's what made me start wondering....
