Data Processing Department/Information Systems Department

I just received a letter from the VicePresident of the Information Systems Dept. of my bank, and they use this two terms.

it depends

if it's a store or a repair place, it would be "computer center".
if it's the department inside a company that deals with the computer issues, it would be the "MIS department"

Would need the context to be sure. :-)

computing center

I would go for computing center rather than computer center as previously advised - as "cómputos" refers to the actual computing process rather than to computers (ie the machines). Computer center suggests the latter. Eurodictum agrees!
Good luck!

Computation centre / Calculation centre

These would be other possibilities, apart from Computing centre.

I agree with the explanations given by Sarah.

Luck!

With all due respect to Sarah regarding the distinction...

between "computer center" as the place where computers live and "computing center" as the place where computation occurs, the customary phrase (in the U.S., anyway, and in Silicon Valley in particular, where I lived and worked for a number of years), is "computer center" -- presumably because wherever computers are, computing will occur as a byproduct...

centro de cómputo y centro de cómputos

es lo mismo, aunque el plural es más raro (sólo una información no pedida).

Heathcliff is right;

"computing center" no me suena en absoluto.
