German term

Neuansatz von Emulsionen

German to English Tech/Engineering Engineering: Industrial Water Management
Here is the whole sentence I am having trouble with. Has anyone encountered these terms before in this context?

Außerdem wird in anderen Bereichen der mechanischen Fertigung die Wiederverwendung von Abwasser zum Neuansatz von Emulsionen vorgenommen.

German term (edited): zum Neuansatz von Emulsionen
Selected

= in der Herstellung von Emulsionen

in the preparation/production of emulsions

I don't see much difference between Neuansatz and Ansatz (from ansetzen) here.

agree Textklick : If you search for the exact phrase here: http://volkswagen-environment.de/buster/buster.asp?i=_conten... click on the cute little green glossary button. It confirms Cilian's suggestion IMO.

I was thinking of inserting "other" before emulsions (to accoun t for the "Neu") but your source suggests "new" instead. That'd prolly be better. (late-night Grüße)
agree Ken Cox : Very nice ref from Textclick. IMO you can drop the 'new', as it would be a bit doppelt gemoppelt, esp in combination with 'reuse' (anything you prepare is by definition 'new', and ' new emulsions' could be misunderstood as new *types* of emulsions).

Thanks, IMO too. That's why I dropped it.

new emulsion batch (process)

Furthermore, in other mechanical processing sections wastewater is recycled for use in a new emulsion batch (process).

neutral Cilian O'Tuama : excuse me, but what are "mechanical processing sections"?
