Ria -- Nakita ko na ang iyong paliwanag! Salamat ;)
Elizabeth Medina (asker) Apr 27, 2008:
With all due respect Ria, "naalala" sounds to me like the simple past, while "comes to mind" is more like a gerund (an action that is repeated in the past, that does not happen just once and then is over). And "naaalala" is less easy to read. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) we don't have a hard and fast rule _not_ to use hyphens. We don't have a working Akademiya ng Wikang Pilipino ... or do we?
Leny Vargas Apr 26, 2008:
Yes... naaalala with no dash
EnTG-Translator Apr 26, 2008:
sorry, my mistake, you say "Naaalala" with 3 a's.
EnTG-Translator Apr 26, 2008:
you don't write "na-aalala" with a hyphen (-). You just say "naalala". Also, you asked or translation of "comes to mind", not "which replacement alternatives come to mind." Just a quick note. Cheers!!! =)
P Waters Apr 25, 2008:
yes, that sounds better Liz.
