Tech/Engineering - Construction / Civil Engineering / Reply to invitation to tender for construction, engineering and maintenance contract.
French term or phrase: servante
Context: A list of shared equipment available to technicians for "means of access and support". "Servante" occurs in a list, following "escabeau, échelle, chariots".
I know there's such a thing as a "slave unit", but that doesn't sound right here.

Explanation:
This could be a roller cabinet as opposed to the cart mentioned in your list. From the context you have provided, I think that it is logical to have a unit to hold various tools/equipment. It also sounds nicer than a "slave unit".
