"Tooling refers to the devices that are used to manufacture specialized parts for customers.The tooling utilizes the customer's proprietary technology. The customers are responsible to pay for the parts and materials required to create the tooling. Also, once the manufacturer completes the job for the customer using the tooling, the tooling is returned to the customer. The philosophy is that the customer pays for the tooling and owns the tooling because the tooling is the customer's proprietary technology.
Tooling deposit - The deposits are money paid from the customer in advance to the manufacturer to create the customer's tooling.
Czyli "tooling" byłoby "bazą narzędziową" do wytwarzania specjalistycznych części dla klientów, a te depozyty - zaliczkami od klienta na stworzenie takiej bazy. Na razie tak wymyśliłam, chyba, że macie coś lepszego.
