The following is one of a list of recommendations for improving fire safety in a vehicle manufacturing plant. I can find no reference to "velas" in relation to sprinklers. Any help appreciated.

• En el edificio de las calderas, los últimos rociadores de algunos ramales se encuentran muy alejados de la cubierta al coincidir con la cumbrera de la nave donde se produce la ventilación de la misma. Se debería aumentar las velas de estos rociadores para que se encuentren a una distancia adecuada del techo.
