"abi" is short slang for "ağabey=brother" BUT it's usage varies so widely (and even wildly) that it's not unheard of a WOMAN being addressed as "abi". hence, in this context, it can correspond to the similar address "man" in english.

AND the fact that i'm not providing the explanation in indonesian doesn't mean i miss the fact that the asker makes a laughing stock of us here!
