This is from an article about how to identify handwriting. It discusses peculiarities in letters and numbers. What I am not sure about is how the different parts of letters and numbers are called in German. I don’t know the difference between “staff” and “leg” Examples:
This discusses how someone wrote the word “Juniper”:
“There is a thin area in the bottom *leg* of the J in Juniper. “
Example regarding the word November:
“There is a break in the first *leg* in the first *staff* of the *leg* of the N. “
Regarding the phrase “based on 4 pillars”:
“The bottom *leg* of the 4 is damaged.”
