extension of time limit

Number of days extension of time limit for the approval of the financial statements
You haven't given a lot of context. For example what type of bilancio it is (for a company or a government). Also you might like to rephrase it with the actual number of days "extension of time limit for the approval of the financial statements by xx days"

agree Colin Ryan (X) : I'd prefer time limit to deadline. Deadline implies a date, e.g. "The deadline for submissions is 4 July", but 180 days is a time limit.

financial statements must be approved within 180 days after the end of the financial year

i'm not sure you need to state that the period can be extended.

Extension of the deadline

Dear Nadia,
proroga di termini =extension of deadline
approvazione di bilancio=budget approval.
As English is concise the genitive 'of' becomes adjective, thus:
Budget approval deadline extension :180 days or
Extension of the deadline for budget approval:180 days
Hope I helped
