Так например, в РФ, Центральным Банком РФ устанавливаются пруденциальные нормы, порядок надзора за кредитными организациями, в частности, требования к отчетности, которые кредитные организация обязаны подавать в ЦБ РФ (являющийся регулирующим органом) - это все часть пруденциального регулирования или надзора ("регулирование/надзор" = "regulatory activity/supervision").

What is regulatory reporting?
Regulatory reporting is one of the means through which the financial insitution controlling entities analyze the financial situation of the institution.

For the banking business, the international regulatory standards are defined by the so-called Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. This standardisation body edicts guidelines on reports the banks have to provide to their supervisory body. The latest set of guidelines is called Basel II and is currently enforced by the supervisory bodies. The general guidelines are adapted to each countries reality via Country Specific Adjustments.

For the insurrance business, the Solvency accord is giving similar guidelines.

Данный термин в теории может означать как (1) аудитора/ревизора, осуществляющего проверки подконтрольной организации в соответствии с нормативным регулированием, так и (2) внутреннего аудитора компании - Если у вас речь о банках или финансовых организациях, то я бы склонялась ко второму варианту. Необходимость наличия внутреннего аудитора - это требование, предъявляемое в рамках compliance-контроля в кредитных организациях, как в России, так и за рубежом.

По личному опыту (я работала в нескольких кредитных организациях как в России, так и за рубежом) указанная позиция называется либо Internal Auditor, либо Regulatory Auditor.

то есть речь об аудите/проверке на предмет соответствия деятельности организации установленным нормам.

Мне кажется, можно просто сказать "аудитор-контролер" (опять же, надо видеть контекст) :)
