project book of prime entry

As in the book of prime entry relative to the project. I think that "spese" is superfluous here and does not need to be translated.

Rough Book/Memorandum Book

The "Prima Nota" is a rough draft list of expenses that are compiled prior to being inserted into the ledger. See: http://guide.supereva.it/economia_aziendale/interventi/2005/... for a correct definition of "prima nota".
The "Rough Book" or "Memorandum Book" is the exact same thing.
See also: http://www.sunpundits.com/component/option,com_simplefaq/tas... under the heading "what are provisional transactions" second paragraph.

Since this is dealing with "spese di progetto" you could use something like "Rough book of project costs/expenses"

project purchase invoice daybook

"prima note", which are "first entries" or "prime entries" are the original records made in what is called a day book in English.

Wiki explains it fairly well:
http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Contabilità#Prima_nota

In this example the following will be used:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-entry_bookkeeping_system
Books of prime entry (Books of original entry)

* Sales Invoice Daybook (records customer Invoice Daybook)
* Bank Receipts Daybook (records customer & non customer receipts)
* Purchase Invoice Daybook (records supplier Invoice Daybook)
* Bank Payments Daybook (records supplier & non supplier payments)

The books of prime entry are where transactions are first recorded. They are not part of the Double-entry system.
