La referencia proporcionada por lorenab23 da el contexto correcto. "In-flight" se aplica a datos transitando por la red, en oposición a "at rest", aplicable a datos almacenados en un dispositivo. Las 3 anteriores respuestas parecen tener el mismo significado, pero no corresponden a la interpretación correcta.
