I'm translating a qualitative market research report regarding electronics chains that sell electrical appliances and I've come across the phrase:
"Il posizionamento su fascia media/commerciale porta la catena a:" and then there is a list of things the electronics chain does (such as offering commercial brands etc).
I'm not quite sure how exactly to say "fascia media/commerciale" in this context.
My try is: "XX's mainstream/commercial position leads the chain to:"
Does "mainstream" cover the meaning of "fascia media" or is there a better term, and is "commercial" ok in this context?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks so much in advance to everyone who provides any precious input.

mid-range
Note from asker:
Thanks for the link Jeff. I had seen that page already and came away thinking that the term "mid-range" was more appropriate when talking about "product" positions as opposed to the position a "store" holds. Am I right in thinking this I wonder? Can a store hold a "mid-range" position? Many thanks for your help! |
