I'm translating un "Concuerda con su escritura matriz autorizada por..."
After the signature and seal of the Notary Public, there is a white label:
"Colegio de Escribanos de la Provincia de Santa Fe

CER"
Could anyone tell me what CER stands for?

Ya ingresé el término en el glosario para que otros traductores no tengan que devanarse los sesos tratando de descifrar este término, que resultó ser más fácil de lo que pensaba... ;)

@ LRamos Funny! LOL. Thanks for letting us know. Honestly, I did think about "Colegio de Escribanos de Rosario" last night and even went as far as making a list of all "C.E.R.s" and which would fit the context: Honestly (LOL!)

@ LRamos Given the fact that you cannot ask your client, and perhaps to play it safe/when there is any doubt, is to leave "CER" with a Translator's note to the effect that "given the lack of context, a suitable translation was not found", or something along those lines. IMO translators are not magicians, and therefore, to expect one to be a mind-reader is a bit ridiculous. Hope this helps and good luck!

Unfortunately, there is no other context, it is the last label on this Concuerda.
I don't know if your second idea would actually be it and I'm not able to ask my client.
And I'm not sure about the "certification" option, though I thought about it in the beginning...

@ LRamos Is there any further context after "CER" which may help to clue others in? If not, and failure to encounter a suitable translation, I recommend that you ask your client, if you can, for clarification. In the absence of further context, I have two other "wild" ideas and that "CER" may (?) be simply "Certificado" /"Certificación" (Certified?) .. but by whom?.
