Spanish term

Operaciones a Plazo de Cumplimiento Financiero (OPCF)

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Valores, Securities, Exchange Stock

Peer comment(s):

disagree Steven Hanley (X) : There is no such thing as a "compliance" contract. "Cumplimiento" means "performance" in this case.

This is the term used by Deloitte themselves. /Furthermore, I did not refer to is as a "compliance contract"!

It may be a specifically Colombian product, in which case you should use the Spanish abbreviation and explain it the first time you use it.

"TRM futures contracts operated by the BVC [Colombian stock exchange] are known as Financial Fulfilment Term Operations (Operaciones de Plazo de Cumplimiento Financiero--OPCFs). Each OPCF has a standard size of US$5,000 and a maximum term of six months. In terms of both the number of derivative transactions and trading volume, OPCF contracts outnumber futures contracts."
