4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. "

Uniform Anatomical Gift Act

Hi Kseniya,

To avoid all morbid references to cadevers, I suggest you use this. There is a program adopted in the US with the same purpose that you are describing. You could also use just "Anatomical Gift Act", since Uniform here shows the fact that it's adopted all across the US.

Good luck!

leaving one's body for (medical) research

I see the problem; "умерший" sounds quite respectful in Russian, so you wouldn't want to use "corpse" or "cadaver".

Reference:

Leaving One's Body for Medical Research
A patient can decide prior to death to leave his/her body for medical research by contacting The Licensed Tutor of Anatomy at their local Medical School. Information booklets are then sent to the patient who notifies his/her responsible relatives or physician in advance.

Bodies thus donated are often used for anatomical dissection and in the training of medical students. The author can confirm that bodies so donated are treated with great respect and gratefulness by all concerned. It would be impossible even in this day and age to train doctors without such donations.

Bodies thus donated are usually preserved and utilized over a period of approximately three years when if required the cremated remains can be returned to relatives.

Alaska state law allows a person who is at least 18 years of age to make an anatomical gift which is effective upon the applicant\'s death. An application (Uniform Donor Card) can be completed at any field office and a donor sticker will be affixed to the front of the license or identification card. A person under the age of 18 may sign up with a parent or guardian as a witness.

The uniform donor card gives each person the choice to designate \"any needed organ or tissue\" or to write in specific wishes or restrictions. DMV personnel can sign as a witness.
