LNG cargo confinement
The FSRU and LNGC will be moored at the jetty and LNG transfer will be carried out using the unloading arms (or hoses). The arrangement can be either double banking or through tandem mooring on either side of the jetty’s loading platform. In either case, the FSRU will be permanently moored to the platform (including mooring and fendering system). The loading platform and mooring dolphins are also sized to host the visiting LNGC.

"stern-to-bow mooring, often referred to as tandem mooring"
When it is necessary to moor two vessels together offshore, two methods are commonly used in the industry. The first is side-by-side mooring and the second is stern-to-bow mooring, often referred to as tandem mooring. Each of these methods has its particular application, with tandem mooring being applied when the sea conditions are too high for side-by-side mooring.
[0003] Traditionally, with side-by-side mooring systems, both vessels are more or less tightly pulled together with their sides against each other, separated only by floating fenders, typically of air or foam filled rubber. "
