Illustrating my earlier comment about context If (hypothetically speaking, in the absence of context) the "power switching unit" (PSU) serves to adapt the power of a laser beam to suit the thickness of the patient’s cornea, then unidad de comutación de potencia might be a fair translation.

There again, if your PSU serves to switch the power delivered by a power source to one of several devices that can consume that power, then perhaps we have a unidad de derivación de potencia.

Of course, none of that totally excludes the possibility that the ST might refer to a unidad de conmutation de alimentación.

It's worth bearing in mind, too, that many authors confuse "power" with "energy". Again, without the context we can't tell whether that is the case here.

@Asker "power switching unit" can refer to many different things in English. Which of those things is relevant to your ST depends on the context - which is very conspicuous here by its absence.

When we have the elusive context, we might be able to confirm - or otherwise - the validity of unidad de conmutación de alimentación as a translation.
