Pescado Mixto

Spanish to English Other Cooking / Culinary
I'm translating a menu for a restaurant and I can't find a suitable word, any help?
The target audience is british people on vacation in Spain, they should be able to understand what "Pescado Mixto" means when they make their order
Proposed translations (English)
4 +2 mixed fish platter
3 +1 assorted fish platter
3 Symphony of Seafood
3 Mixed Seafood Delight

That is true But most people are aware it is not shellfish. It is also true that if you google "pescado mixto" for Spain you get mostly crustaceans and squid. I only got one picture with what looked like fish. It would be better to know what the dish consists of to give it a proper name.

Seafood Good point, but although the word "seafood" does include fish, in principle, it is commonly used in the UK to refer just to shellfish, and I think the average British customer, seeing "seafood platter" on the menu, might be surprised, and conceivably feel cheated, to get a dish consisting largely of fish. So if this one does contain shellfish as well I think you'd better say "fish and seafood". It's not very poetic, but then neither is "pescado mixto".

Seafood platter I would go for this option since all the pictures of "pescado mixto" contain shellfish. But I noticed Philgoddard mentioned this first so I am not posting this as an answer.

slightly less formal than 'assorted'. Both are fine, but I think this is neutral and could be used anywhere.

agree philgoddard : I think you could leave out "assorted". And Google Images shows that this dish often includes seafood, so I think Pablo should check with the customer and maybe call it "fish and seafood" or just "seafood" platter.

is often how these dishes are marketed and leveraged upwards; usually containing filleted fish and crustaceans, often in a sauce comprising wine or champagne with shallots and cream, etc; in marketing terms, it's more likely to be some more creative version;
