Change log

Aug 23, 2023 19:54: Joshua Parker changed "Level" from "PRO" to "Non-PRO"

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): abe(L)solano, Wilsonn Perez Reyes, Joshua Parker

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Discussion

neilmac Aug 24, 2023:
Device 1. a thing made or adapted for a particular purpose. Although we usually tend to think of them as " especially a piece of mechanical or electronic equipment", it is really anything that can be... devised. Even condoms.
Wilsonn Perez Reyes Aug 23, 2023:
This is a non-pro question! Non-PRO questions are those that can be answered by any bilingual person without the aid of a dictionary, for instance:
- I love you
- Welcome to Panama
- Since when?
- thermos
- mmm, yummy
- boo!
spanruss (asker) Aug 23, 2023:
Condoms? Really? My concern is that no specific medical device (if this could be considered a medical device???) is mentioned in this lengthy regulatory document and then, all of a sudden: "condones". Since this is going to jump out for anyone reading it, I just want to make absolutely sure that these are actually "condoms" before leaving it as that.
