Danish term
p.s.v.
Danish to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
divorce decree
At the bottom of a divorce decree, it gives the date, and then below that p.s.v. followed by the name of the signer of the decree:
Aarhus Statsamt, den 18. december 1992.
p.s.v.
[navn]
I assume that p.s.v. means "ppa" in English, but can anyone confirm this and/or give me what the p.s.v. actually stands for?
Thanks in advance.

In your case it should of course be \'Aarhus Statsamt\' = On behalf of the state county (of Aarhus)

Comment: "Thanks very much. For my context, I've used the American term "county" since "state county" is needlessly jarring to English speakers, although for many contexts the "state" can or should be retained. Thanks again for everyone's help."
