English term or phrase: Satzverständnis
"To make flat-fell seam more easily, turn garment INSIDE out and top-stitch seam, placing WRONG side of garment against machine."

Meine Übersetzung wäre folgende:
"Eine flache Kappnaht ist leichter herzustellen, wenn man die INNENSEITE des Kleidungsstücks nach außen wendet und die Naht absteppt. Dabei liegt die LINKE Seite des Stoffes auf der Nähmaschine."

Scheint einfach, ergibt aber keinen Sinn. Die INNENSEITE des Kleidungsstücks ist ja gleichzeitig auch die LINKE Seite. Und die kann ja nicht gleichzeitig außen, also sichtbar sein und auf der Maschine, also unten liegen.

Hab ich da jetzt einfach ein Brett vor dem Kopf oder ist da ein logischer Fehler im englischen Satz? Bitte um Hilfe!
