disagree Mauricio Coitiño : Discrepo radicalmente. Las cámaras de aire son las "concealed cavities" de la pregunta y jamás pueden aislar del fuego a menos que tengan una "cavity barrier", es decir, una "barrera".

Que te parece "aislantes ignífugos para cámaras de aire"?Aunque probablemente por el contexto de la traducción se entiende que dicho aislante es ignífugo.Por cierto todas las cámaras de aire llevan un aislante térmico,acústico e ignífugo.

disagree Sergiocg : En español "barrera cortafuego" suena a las zanjas que se abren en el monte para que en caso de fuego éste no traspase ciertos límites. Tu traducción es un tanto libre...

Si bien el término no es una traducción libre (ver referencias) "barrera ignífuga" o "aislante ignífugo" tal vez sea mejor término.
