Endurecimiento de la espinilla

Explanation:

VETERINARY MEDICINE enlargement of horse's leg bone: a condition that occurs in young horses, consisting of painful bony outgrowths in or near the splint bones on the inner sides of the legs

neutral  MJ Barber: not really calambres though, is it? It is pain and discomfort, but not cramp. Calambre is more like muscular contraction

" (1ª ref)

"Shin splints:
Definition: Inflammation of the tendons on the inside of the front of the lower leg. " (2ª ref)

"Shin Splints
Pain along the leg bone or shin is frequently described as shin splints.
The large leg bone or tibia has several tendon attachments to it and many overuse type activities, such as running and other forms of exercise, will over stress the attachments of these tendons. Patient complaints are extremely variable from "sometimes it hurts so bad I can't walk" to "the pain sort of comes and goes and usually I can tolerate the discomfort."

HTH :-)

Un saludo.
