Italian to English Medical Medical (general) Cerebral MRI

I must apologise for asking a whole sentence and would certainly not make a habit of it, as you can see from my history on ProZ. My translation activities mainly concern space matters, and I have been talked into doing a favour translating this medical report. I naturally explained that I would do my best, but that this was not my field. I would be extremely grateful for any help on this. Here is the sentence:

L'indagine mette in evidenza in corrispondenza della sostanza bianca del giro frontale inferiore in dx, in prossimità del nucleo caudato di dx rotondeggiante di alterato segnale delle dimensioni di circa 1 cm.
