Italian term

colturale

Italian to English Medical Medical (general) Chemistry
This is from a 'Elenco Esami del Servizio di Patologia Clinica', in the list of contents. There are loads of uses of 'colturale' - will provide some for context. Do you think I can just simply translate as 'culture'? I am very confused.

- Colturale lavaggio bronchiale (BAL)
- Colturale annessi cutanei
- Colturale espettorato
- Colturale catetere arterioso
- Colturale pus

There are many more of them - I know we can only ask one term at a time so I am not asking for them all to be translated, simply for some guidance with the word 'culture' - perhaps it is not always translated as 'culture' in English?

Thanks for any help at all!

culture

It implies "esame", as in "(esame) colturale dell'espettorato" = sputum culture test.
