The context is a module for a vetinerary medicine degree.
An EU document translates "producción bovina" by "beef and veal production", but I don't think using the meat names is the most appropriate option for this context. I'm thinking "cattle production/farming/breeding". Anyway, I'll see what you guys come up with.

: Me parece bien tu respuesta ya que bovinos no creo que sea beef ya que el ganado bovino puede ser utilizado con diferentes destinos (y para faena, como carne, es sólo uno de ellos)
