Spanish term

prenda global y prenda flotante

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) chart of accounts
no context, sólo el hecho de que con respecto a hipotecas y prendas, estas dos deben ser presentadas en el Registro Público. Creo que son términos muy "ticos" (de Costa Rica), pues no los encuentro en ningún otro país latino. Please help!! Se me ocurrió que "prenda flotante" podría ser algo así como "revolving pledge"??

Proposed translations

9 hrs

overall pledge / variable pledge

floating charge; variable collateral= prenda flotante

I found floating charge as above in el Manual Internacional del Traductor

"prenda global" probably means "overall or total (aggregate) charge," although this term is not listed in the same source

Note: The word charge as used in the source refers to the collateral or price for lending (as in mortgages, etc.)

Note: For the sake of consistency and to use parallel language(if you decide to say \"floating charge\" [one of the two terms suggested by M. Orellana], I had suggested overall or total charge.
