... Volvo ownership
Population is not a word I would use in this context. It's mainly to do with people.

Volvo population
I think it works fine, it's says what it is supposed to say and it has been used before se ref's.

The fact that you comment in Swedish shows that you are more interested in commenting me than enlightening the asker. My answer is Yes and What is wrong with India anyhow, it is an english speaking country, which funnily enough Sweden is not.

: In connetion with a company, organisation, yes, but not generally speaking of a country which the text does. Unless the state owns all the Volvo cars in the country which it does not.

Volvo car park - or rephrase the sentence
I have occasionally seen the phrase 'car park' used loosely to refer to exactly this - the total number of cars of a particular make in a country. But it is so misleading I would avoid using it, and I would rephrase the last part of the sentence to avoid the word population, with something like
'. . . over a million Volvo cars on the roads / in the country'.
'. . . over a million Volvo cars on the roads / in the country'.
1 day 2 hrs
with over a million cars/motor vehicles
I really get the feeling "Volvo" is used figuratively here to only mean "cars". About 1/4 of al cars are Japanese, then there SAABs (now belongs to General Motors) and whatever.
Something went wrong...
